Academic Enrichment

Atomic Blast Summer Enrichment Program Powered by Kansas City NSC Managed by Honeywell FM&T

Each summer, kids and teens can participate in a 9-week program filled with engaging activities in math, science, reading, and more. The program, which runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, is offered at multiple locations throughout Kansas and Missouri. With low to no program fees, this affordable option includes field trips, swimming, and daily meals. Teens can also access special opportunities like job training and college tours.

Club DIY STEM:
Hands-On Science Exploration

This hands-on, activity-based STEM program connects youth aged 9-12 to everyday scientific themes. Through practical experiments and projects, members explore the real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and math. Special attention is given to helping members connect theoretical knowledge with common interactions they encounter in daily life.

Club Lit tutoring session

Club Lit:
Personalized Literacy Intervention

Club Lit provides individualized literacy intervention to help Club members in grades K-3 build a strong literacy foundation. The program meets children where they are, addressing any gaps in their skills through focused, small-group tutoring. Sessions run for 20-30 minutes, with 2-3 kids per tutor, four days a week, all year long. Members typically engage with the program once or twice a week to develop crucial reading skills.

Diplomas to Degrees (d2D) - College Readiness for Teens

Our Diplomas to Degrees program prepares teens for success in college and beyond. Through goal-setting, financial aid assistance, and college tours, teens gain the tools they need for post-secondary education. The program also provides mentorship and support from caring adults to guide teens through their college journey.

Power Hour:
Making Minutes Count

Power Hour helps kids and teens (ages 5–18) achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring, and skill-building activities. Our dedicated staff and volunteers support members in completing their assignments and fostering independent learning. Once homework is completed, participants can engage in additional educational activities that further enhance their skills.

Summer Brain Gain:
Learning Through Summer Fun

Summer Brain Gain offers developmentally appropriate, project-based learning experiences designed to keep young people engaged during the summer months. By focusing on interactive, hands-on activities, this program helps prevent the "summer slide" and keeps members on track academically while still enjoying their break.

Life & Workforce Readiness

Career Launch:
Preparing Teens for the Workforce

Career Launch helps teens ages 13-18 build job-readiness skills, explore career paths, and gain valuable work experience. Through interactive activities, job shadowing, and mentorship, teens receive guidance to make informed decisions about their future. Club staff and volunteers work closely with participants, helping them develop the skills needed for college and career success.

First Job:
Building Skills for Success

Our First Job program equips teens with the tools they need to secure and excel in their first job. Through job-readiness workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and connections with local employers, teens gain valuable skills that help them thrive in the workplace. Whether it’s learning how to ace an interview, building a strong resume, or developing financial literacy, the First Job program ensures teens are prepared for the next step in their career journey.

Money Matters:
Financial Literacy for Teens

Aimed at Club members ages 13-18, Money Matters promotes financial literacy by teaching basic money management skills. The program encourages financial responsibility and independence, covering topics such as budgeting, saving, and smart spending to equip members with the tools to manage their finances effectively as they transition into adulthood.
