What does comprehensive home health care from All American Home Care include?

I’ve been trying to understand what “comprehensive home health care” really means in practice. Last year my uncle had surgery and after he came home, we realized pretty quickly that we were not fully prepared. We thought it would just be someone stopping by to check on him, but it turned out he needed help with medication management, wound care, and even basic mobility exercises. It made me wonder what services are actually included when agencies say they provide full home health care. Is it mostly medical, like nurses and therapy, or does it also cover personal support and daily assistance? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this process.

From what I’ve seen while helping my neighbor arrange care for her dad, comprehensive home health care usually covers skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and sometimes speech therapy, plus monitoring chronic conditions and helping with medications. When we were researching options in Pennsylvania, we looked at a Home Care Agency PA and found useful info through this local provider — they explain pretty clearly what services are included and how the care plan is built around the patient’s needs. In our case, the nurse visited several times a week, and a therapist came in to help with mobility after a stroke. It wasn’t just medical tasks; they also coordinated with the family and doctors, which made things feel much less overwhelming.
