Program Highlights RBI sponsors clinics led by Royals coaches and players designed not only to enhance the skills of young players, but also to equip the volunteer managers and coaches with the support and training they need to make RBI the best possible experience for the youth charged to ther leadership. One of the benefits provided for the volunteer coaches is certification through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) at no cost to the volunteer.
Youth play in special tournament games against other leagues throughout the metro area. They also play in their own All-Star games. In recent years, RBI youth have participated in Cal Ripken Baseball Experience camps, RBI World Series, All-Star Balloting Launch at Kauffman Stadium, Field of Dreams field trips, and much more.
RBI youth also have the opportunity to take part in off-season baseball/softball clinics, hold team practices, and learn life skills curriculum.
